Virtual Shoe Fitting from Gortz
Let’s live here and now.
Tokio Hotel
The shoe brand Goertz and ad agency Kempertrautmann present a way to try on shoes – virtually. Get your feet scanned and reproduced on the large outdoor screen – you can choose the model and size. The installation means that shoes can be sold anywhere.
Then you can buy or even share them directly from your phone – just take a snap and post it on your social channels to ask your friends if they Like the ”new” shoes. And if you decide to buy, a QR code leads you to a mobile checkout. You will get them next day.
It was premiered at Hamburg Central Station in Germany. The huge digital billboard was turned into a point of sale for Gortz.
The good thing is you don’t have to visit a lot of stores to find exactly what you like – they can offer you shoes just right here and almost right away. And you can still try on shoes before you buy it. But I hope that real stores and malls will not disappear in 3012.
Have a great weekend! In 2012. We live in wonderful times!
