Canadian Coffee and My Collection
Just around the corner,
There’s a rainbow in the sky.
So let’s have another cup o’ coffee,
And let’s have another piece o’ pie.
Irving Berlin, 1932
Do you have any hobbies or collect anything? In our family we have a tradition – to bring home a coffee cup from every place we go. The most important thing that I really like is our cups from different countries hold memories. I drink my coffee and think about Moscow or Paris, Quebec or Miami – and that’s amazing.
Today I’m going to share with you two things – my collection and the Canadian Coffee recipe.
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup pure maple syrup
- ½ cup rye whiskey
- 3 cup coffee, double strength
Topping: ¾ cup whipping cream
- 4 teaspoons pure maple syrup
Whip cream with maple syrup until soft mounds form; set aside.
Divide maple syrup and whiskey among 4 warmed coffee mugs. Fill with coffee –inch from top; spoon topping over coffee.
