Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones
“It’s never just a process, never just a product: it’s my life…”
Stephen Jones
I like hats – for a special occasion or to keep warm – it doesn’t matter. It just gives you some kind of confidence. “Woman may throw their clothes away after a few seasons,” Milliner-to-the-stars Stephen Jones says. “But they don’t throw their hats away. That’s how special they are. They can be like a security blanket, and I want to create a security blanket that they’ll always feel good about.”
Don’t miss his amazing exhibition in the Peabody Essex Museum “Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones”. Three more weeks – till February 3rd.
Worn by celebrities – Sarah Jessica Parker, Barbara Streisand, the Rolling Stones, Bjork, – his designs are artistic, playful and, above all, original. Stephen Jones’s work is on display in museums worldwide, including London’s Victoria & Albert Museum, the Louvre in Paris and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
